What Teachers say about Supported Birth Training:
“I feel totally prepared to teach! There is nothing out there like this course. We have gained tools to pass onto couples that they would not get anywhere else. Supported Birth offers such a balance of tools, practice, and technique. There is no right way to birth!....Thank you Jana for believing in us! I found my passion for teaching to grow in this class. I found confidence and support....The videos and discussions were great and the small class allowed us to feel safe to grow and learn.”
-Jessika Packman, August 2000
“I learned a lot of information that I didn't know before or had forgotten. But perhaps more importantly, I learned strategies for conveying this information to my students that will help them feel comfortable about their birth but also think critically about the obstetrical model in the U.S. I also learned a great deal about how to form real relationships with my students, as it is clear that you do....If I had to start teaching tomorrow with the materials you gave the class, I definitely feel that I could do it.”
-Jennifer Greyber, August 2000
“Great references, books, sharing, feedback, flexibility.... exposure to incredible videos/visuals and concepts regarding birthing in America today. I'm learning how important it is to be a ‘facilitator' - not ‘telling couples how to birth,' rather, sharing information so they can make informed decisions. I have been reassured about my own strong beliefs that a woman's body is designed for birth!”
-Wendy Rowe, April 2003
“It was a wonderful learning experience that I will recommend to everyone I meet.”
- Carrie Benveniste, April 2004
